RIDING FOR THE DISABLED
Horse riding has been seen to be beneficial to both physical and mental well-being. It is widely recognized as a valuable form of education, exercise and therapy. Many RDA groups across the country have benefited from knowing that their RDA riders, who have difficulties that vary in severity, can enjoy horse riding in a safe and controlled environment. Their participation in a sport they enjoy provides a sense of achievement and develops confidence, muscle strength and coordination.
THE RDA INTERACTIVE SIMULATOR - The RDA Simulator can also come as a fully interactive simulator. Riders can take tests and play them back as well as choosing either an arena or path to ride on to really engage with the whole riding experience and improve concentration and coordination.
HOW IT WORKS:
The RDA Simulator is a five speed horse (walk to canter) offering the same life like action of a horse as in our other simulators. Other features include:
- Therapeutic lateral action in all gaits – to improve muscle tone and strength
- Saddle pad
- Lower neck angle for ease of mounting and dismounting
- Buttons on the side of the horse for the instructor to control the speed
- Sensors for leg and rein control
